How do electric grippers communicate with robots? Which protocols are supported?

Jodell electric grippers support multiple communication methods: Modbus RTU (RS485), Modbus TCP (Ethernet), I/O control and CANopen. We also provide ROS driver packages supporting UR, JAKA, AUBO, ABB, KUKA, FANUC and other major robot brands for plug-and-play, fast integration.

Can grip force be adjusted? How do I set it?

Yes, all Jodell electric grippers support continuously adjustable grip force. Using our commissioning software or direct commands, you can set grip force (typically 10%-100% of rated force), gripping position and speed. Force control precision reaches 0.1N to handle diverse workpieces.

What is the product warranty period?

Standard Jodell products carry a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery. During the warranty period, failures due to product defects are repaired or replaced free of charge. Extended warranty up to 24 months is available. Damage from misuse or abnormal operation is not covered.

Do you offer customization?

Yes, we offer customization. We can tailor stroke, grip force, finger shape, communication interface and mounting to your needs. Custom projects are scoped individually; samples typically deliver in 4-8 weeks. Contact sales to discuss your requirements.

What is the gripper's protection rating? What environments can it be used in?

Standard models are IP40 for general industrial environments. Food-grade models reach IP65 and are washable. Cleanroom models meet Class 100 cleanliness for semiconductor and medical industries. Operating temperature is typically 0-40°C; special environments can be customized.
